For architects and developers

The electrical design in view from the start.

Upload your floor plan and agree sockets, lighting and switches with the client and the electrician before the walls go up.

What you get

Floor plan in a few steps

Upload a PDF or image; PlanElec suggests walls, rooms with area, doors and windows. You keep only what fits.

Show the fittings in 3D

Clients grasp a 3D view faster than an installation plan.

One project for everyone

The electrician continues in the same project. Single-line diagram and position plan grow from your floor plan.

How a project runs

  1. Upload the floor plan
  2. Agree the fittings with the client
  3. Hand the project to the electrician

Record agreed requirements in the project

Starting point

After a meeting, three agreed points need to be recorded in the shared planning project. Ask the assistant to read the existing project notes first, then review the revised text before it saves anything.

Example prompt for your assistant

Read the notes in my project “House – coordination”. Add these agreed points: a desk in the guest room, terrace lighting, provision for an EV charging point. Preserve the existing content and show me a draft of no more than 500 characters in total. Save it only after I confirm.

A useful result

You review a concise draft and explicitly approve the change. Once the tool call succeeds, the details are stored in the project notes. The installer then coordinates device placement and circuit planning in the Studio.

These examples use project details, planning summaries and project notes. Continue editing devices, circuits and drawings in the PlanElec Studio. Full app control through MCP is a development goal.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to know electrical design?

No. You set rooms and fittings; circuits, protection and distribution board are planned by the electrician in the same project.

Which files can I upload?

PDF, PNG, JPEG or WebP. For vector PDFs with closed wall outlines, PlanElec takes the walls straight from the drawing.

What does it cost?

Prices are on the pricing page. Until the paid plans start on 1 November 2026, you use Pro in early access at no cost; register before then and you also use it for the whole of November.
